چکیده
Abstract Non-Hermitian (NH) crystals, quasicrystals, and amorphous network display an accumulation of a macroscopic number states near one its specific interfaces with vacuum, such as edge, surface, hinge, or corner. This phenomenon is known the NH skin effect, which can only be observed open boundary condition. In this regard self-similar fractals, manifesting inner boundaries in interior system, harbor novel phenomenon, effect (ISE). Then appears at fractal lattice periodic We showcase observation by implementing prominent models for insulators superconductors on representative planar Sierpinski carpet lattices. They accommodate both first-order second-order ISEs edges corners, respectively, charged well neutral Majorana fermions. Furthermore, over extended parameter regimes are tied nontrivial bulk topological invariants, yielding intrinsic ISEs. With recent success engineering phases highly tunable metamaterial platforms, photonic phononic lattices, topolectric circuits, proposed experimentally least metamaterials

متن کاملTopological Hermitian Cobordism
A decade ago, the authors [5] studied Real cobordismMR, anRO(Z/2)graded Z/2-equivariant spectrum discovered by Landweber [9], which is related to complex cobordismMU in the same way as Atiyah’s RealKtheory KR [1] does to K-theory. In particular, the authors computed the RO(Z/2)-graded coefficients of MR. A key step in that computation was the fact that MR is a complete Z/2-equivariant spectrum,...
متن کاملInvariance And Inner Fractals In Polynomial And Transcendental Fractals
A lot of formal and informal recreational study took place in the fields of Meromorphic Maps, since Mandelbrot popularized the map z ← z + c. An immediate generalization of the Mandelbrot z ← z + c also known as the Multibrot family were also studied. In the current paper, general truncated polynomial maps of the form z ← ∑ p≥2 apx p + c are studied. Two fundamental properties of these polynomi...
متن کاملTopological transition in a non-Hermitian quantum walk.
We analyze a quantum walk on a bipartite one-dimensional lattice, in which the particle can decay whenever it visits one of the two sublattices. The corresponding non-Hermitian tight-binding problem with a complex potential for the decaying sites exhibits two different phases, distinguished by a winding number defined in terms of the Bloch eigenstates in the Brillouin zone. We find that the mea...
متن کاملOn Scattering from Localized non-Hermitian Potentials
We highlight the conceptual issues that arise when one applies the quasi-Hermitian framework to analyze scattering from localized non-Hermitian potentials, in particular complex square-wells or deltafunctions. When treated in the framework of conventional quantum mechanics, these potentials are generally considered as effective theories, in which probability is not conserved because of processe...
